Frances joined SV Health Investors in 2026 and is a Senior Associate on the Biotech team in the Boston office.
Prior to joining SV, she was an investor at KB Investment, where she led new investments in preclinical to late-stage clinical biotech companies and managed portfolio companies. She also served as a board observer to Crystalys Therapeutics and Bright Peak Therapeutics.
Previously, as Director of Biology at Roivant Sciences, Frances served as program lead and held responsibilities for portfolio strategy, external strategic partnerships, and fundraising. She joined Roivant from Merck, where she led drug discovery programs spanning multiple therapeutic areas, novel modality initiatives and academic collaborations, resulting in publications in high impact journals including Science.
Frances trained as a chemical biologist in Carolyn Bertozzi’s lab and received a PhD in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. Her work focused on understanding mycobacterial cell envelope dynamics and their critical roles in host-pathogen interactions and resistance mechanisms against approved tuberculosis drugs.
In her free time, Frances enjoys sports, exploring new restaurants and the outdoors.
