James joined SV in 2018 and is Chief Financial Officer to all European finance operations and a Partner. He focuses on providing the London-based team with support for their investments in the six diversified SVLS Funds, SV7 Impact Medicine Fund, SV Biotech Crossover Opportunities Fund and the Dementia Discovery Funds.
Prior to SV, James qualified as a Chartered Accountant at RSM (Johannesburg) before relocating back to the UK. He has been specializing in finance and operations in the London investment management industry since 2008 across various sectors.
Outside of SV, James is an avid traveller and all-round sports enthusiast while also providing mentorship to fellow CASS MBA students.
