Martin joined SV Health Investors in July 2026 as the inaugural AI Fellow at the London office, with the mandate of implementing modern AI workflows to enhance productivity across the business.
Prior to joining SV, Martin spent 7 years in both research and BD roles at Talisman Therapeutics, a Cambridge based speciality biotech/CRO focussed on neurodegenerative disease drug development. Before joining Talisman Therapeutics, Martin was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Neusentis, a regenerative medicine focussed Pfizer research unit, working on human stem cell models of Dravet syndrome for precision medicine development.
Martin completed his PhD in the lab of Dr. Ivo Lieberam at King’s College London, working on stem cell models of motor neuron disease, and completed post-graduate studies in Data Science, Machine Learning and AI at Cambridge University. He has published research in high impact journals including Science.
Outside of SV Martin is a keen badminton player, competing nationally and internationally, recently representing England at European and World Masters Championships events.
Academic Credentials
Martin received his MRes and PhD in Developmental Neurobiology from King’s College London, holds a MBiol (Hons) in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Bath, and has a PGCert in Data Science, Machine Learning and AI from the University of Cambridge.
