Steve is former CEO of Adapt Health (NASDAQ: AHCO), which acquired Aerocare Holdings (an SV portfolio company). Steve founded Aerocare and served as its CEO until its sale to Adapt. During Steve’s tenure, Aerocare grew from a start-up to a leading durable medical equipment company with over 300 locations in 29 states.
Steve practiced as a CPA with a prominent accounting firm located in Orlando, Florida. From there, Steve became the controller for a large tourist and entertainment conglomerate located in Orlando. While at that position, Steve was in charge of the financial turnaround strategy designed to improve profitability and position the company for sale. Steve left this position to become the CFO of Rotech Medical Corporation, a publicly held company. He was promoted to COO and later was promoted to President. Steve was charged with the responsibility of growing the company from 10 locations with $9M in revenue to over 800 locations in 44 states with revenues in excess of $600M. He accomplished this through internal growth and over 500 merger and acquisition transactions. After leaving Rotech, Steve was one of the founders of Nexus Group, Inc. and is one of its principals and Managing Directors. Nexus Group provides advisory services in the area of mergers and acquisitions.
Steve currently serves on the board of Jet Health and ClearSky Holdings.
